Sweet School life is a Hakuoki Spin-off that you can gain via collecting Emphera points. This features the Shinsengumi in modern times as students or teachers. Hijikata is the chain smoking homeroom teacher that seems to have trouble with one particular student, Okita Souji. In fact, Hijikata appears only in episode 3 after having gotten 50% Emphera. He is seen with Harada and Nagakura in the Teacher's Office. He is screaming about how Okita has passed everyone else's tests and assignments except for his. He is particularly angry about the ridiculous horse drawing and jokes that Okita left on the test instead. He is also seen smacking Nagakura around and listening to Harada, but is too preoccupied with his rage to do anything besides screaming and killing (seriously injuring) Nagakura.
I laughed way harder than I should have at the whole thing. Particularly the horse jokes embed within Okita's drawing. Sadly, I believe this feature is a summary of something much larger. Although with his temper, Hijikata-sensei is not someone I would want as my homeroom teacher. I suppose that has a lot more to do with the fact that Okita is most likely causing trouble. I don't know how Hijikata-sensei hasn't given himself a heart attack with stress! I think he would be a very supportive teacher. I feel like he would be very strict but also very supportive in his own way. He does want what is best for those around him and he is constantly striving to helping them achieve their goals (both good traits for a teacher). It is his temper that seems to contradict his personality. He doesn't articulate well and I think that's something else that causes him troubles. He's to the point and that can be very sharp to those receiving his messages.
