Synopsis

In attempts to find her father, young Yukimura Chizuru heads to Kyoto. Upon her arrival she is attacked! The shinsengumi come to her aid, but show her no kindness. When they take her back to headquarters, her life is on the line. Unsure of whether to run or accept her fate, she tries to explain her situation and is thrown into the Shinsengumi as Hijikata Toshizo's page.

Living with the men of the Shinsengumi is both wonderful and terrible. Unable to leave the complex by herself, Chizuru is thrown into battles inside and outside. As she struggles to find her father and uncover the mystery of the Furies, she might just find love.

While struggling with her feelings and insecurity, she learns a dark secret about her father and family that just might tear apart everything she loves.

Normal Ending

Thankfully, the normal ending isn't too complicated to get. You can merely choose any option you want as you progress through the game, not necessarily ignoring the guys, but certainly not having too much affection with any of the Shinsengumi. For that reason, I haven't put a walkthrough here for it. Although, I do want it to be noted that from Chapter 4 onwards, being nice to or requesting assistance Kazama will most likely give you his ending rather than the normal ending.

In the normal ending, Yukimura gets seperated from her friends in the Shinsengumi. She winds up in the forest all alone. She meets Kazama who tells her that the Shinsengumi will fall and that the war is inevitable but will come to an end soon. Amagiri steps in to aid Yukimura at Sen's request. Basically, being stubborn and choosing to do things yourself keeps you on the "Normal Path" and away from Kazama's ending.

In keeping from Kazama's affection (basically just trying to do things yourself, but you still get stuck with him anyways), Yukimura meets her father. She has the option of stopping Kazama or letting him kill her father. (I chose not to stop him). Eventually, Kazama and Yukimura end up at the last battle grounds of the Shinsengumi. Kazama tells her that the Shinsengumi have all met their ends in battle. Gripping the tattered flag of her companions, Yukimura sinks to the ground and weeps. Even with the good memories of her comapnions her heart aches as she realizes she's all alone for the first time in many years.
